<p><b>Matheus Albert</b> (* um <a href="1630" title="1630">1630</a>; † nach <a href="1714" title="1714">1714</a>) war ein Schweizer <a href="Kirchenglocke" title="Kirchenglocke">Glockengiesser</a> in <a href="Chur" title="Chur">Chur</a>. Er führte die Churer Glockengiesser-Tradition des 17. und 18. Jahrhunderts fort und schuf zwischen 1692 und 1715 mindestens 18 Glocken für <a href="Kanton_Graub%C3%BCnden" title="Kanton Graubünden">Bündner</a> Kirchen.

<p>Über das Leben von Matheus (auch: <i>Matthäus</i>) Albert ist wenig bekannt. Er erscheint im Lehrknabenbuch 1679–1718 des Stadt-Archiv Chur. Matheus Albert war Schüler und Nachfolger von <a href="Gaudentz_Hempel" title="Gaudentz Hempel">Gaudentz Hempel</a>, dem Begründer der Churer Glockengiesser-Tradition. Alberts Nachfolger wurde <a href="Johannes_Schmid_von_Gr%C3%BCneck" title="Johannes Schmid von Grüneck">Johannes Schmid von Grüneck</a><sup id="cite_ref-1" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-1"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>1<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup>.
